Clear Winds and Fragrant Blossoms

Time flies. It will soon be a year since Qing Feng passed away, and suddenly I really want to write about the story of Qing Feng and Ru Hua. Time can erase everything. I’m afraid that if too much time passes, we’ll gradually forget Qing Feng.

By nature, Qing Feng was optimistic, cheerful, and generous, a striking contrast to his bleak childhood. I don’t know whether the hardship of his childhood made him optimistic enough to withstand a painful life, or whether his naturally optimistic spirit helped him struggle free from such misery.

I can only piece together fragments from Qing Feng’s own halting descriptions and Ru Hua’s broken accounts to paint a picture of their life.
