Book of Songs

"The Book of Songs" is a comprehensive collection of Chinese poetry, which collects 305 poems from the early Western Zhou Dynasty to the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period over 500 years. In the pre-Qin Dynasty, it was called "Shi", or the whole number was called "Poetry Three Hundred" or "Three Hundred Chapters". It was revered as a Confucian classic during the Han Dynasty and was called the Book of Songs, which is still in use today. The Book of Songs was written around the Spring and Autumn Period. In the Han Dynasty, there were four schools of thought that taught the Book of Songs: Qi, Lu, Han, and Mao. After the Eastern Han Dynasty, the three families of Qi, Lu, and Han died one after another, and only the "Han Shi Wai Zhuan" remains. Mao's poetry became popular after the Eastern Han Dynasty and has been passed down to this day.
