Curtain Call

Everyone in the industry knew that Mr. Ji, a man who could pull strings anywhere, had fallen for me. Over ten years, he transformed me from a small-town girl into a glamorous actress.

Just when everyone thought he was finally going to make me his official partner, he spent a fortune on a newly debuted starlet and destroyed the career I had spent decades building.

Later, he went alone to pray for a string of Buddhist prayer beads and gave them to me.

He hoped I would get everything I wished for and find happiness year after year.
