Retribution and the Cycle of Karma

My new work is here! You're welcome to read it on Tomato Novel. I hope you'll enjoy it. Your support motivates me to write, and I'll do my best to tell every story well!

Retribution is not the same as the cycle of cause and effect.

This story is entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental.

Retribution: Money, status, privilege, happiness, and prosperity gained by inflicting suffering on others will all bring retribution.

A gentleman may wait ten years to avenge himself. It's not that there will be no retribution; the time simply hasn't come.

The cycle of cause and effect: Debts of money or affection incurred in this life are repaid in the next. Debts from a past life are repaid in this one. If they aren't fully repaid in this life, the balance carries over to the next.

If you come to collect in this life for money or affection someone owed you in a past life, you're a debt collector from beyond the grave.

The ill-fated love of a past life remains unresolved,

Only to be cast aside when this life brings it to an end.

The sea of reincarnation has no end,

Yet when fate comes and goes, it all amounts to nothing.
