The "Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China" was revised and adopted at the 25th Session of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress on January 22, 2021, and will come into effect on May 1, 2021. The revised Animal Epidemic Prevention Law has 12 chapters and 113 articles, including general provisions, prevention of animal epidemics, reporting, notification and announcement of animal epidemics, and control of animal diseases.
