The first part of the second edition of "The Complete Works of Marx and Engels" is the writing volume (except "Das Kapital" and its manuscripts), including Volume 1 to Volume 29. Volume 1 contains Marx's writings from 1833 to March 1843. The whole volume is divided into two parts. The first part is doctoral thesis and political articles, and the second part is middle school graduation composition and early literary studies. They reflect the development of Marx's thoughts from his middle school years until the suspension of publication of "Rheinische Zeitung", his gradual transformation from idealism to materialism, and the process of the formation and development of his revolutionary democratic views.
