The Poisonous Rose Comes Thorned

Her sister died with a grudge, and to get justice for her, Su Meike was willing to sacrifice herself and get close to Cheng Xushi, the city's most notorious playboy.

The reason was simple: the person she wanted revenge on was his older brother.

She thought it was their first meeting, but she had no idea he'd been thinking about her for a long time.

“You went to all this trouble to get close to me, and it's only because of him?”

“Yeah. That's all.”

“But do you know that once you've gotten involved with me, you'll never get away for the rest of your life?”

Su Meike thought she could achieve her goal with ease, but she hadn't counted on being unable to cast aside the kindness that came naturally to her.

Again and again, she fell in love with the very man she'd originally intended to use.

“A well-behaved rabbit can't become a fox, no matter how much it pretends.”

With her revenge complete, she pushed him away. They loved each other, yet kept hurting each other, every word they spoke striking straight to the heart.

She put up a stubborn front, and he saw right through it.

She ran, and he searched for her.

She came to her senses, and he pulled her back into the depths.

Everyone said Cheng Xushi had turned over a new leaf for Su Meike, never realizing there had only ever been room for her in his heart.
