One Thousand and One Nights

The stories collected in "One Thousand and One Nights" come from folk tales passed down orally by folk rappers in ancient Middle Eastern countries and the Arab region. The content involves the ancient Egyptian civilization, Mesopotamia civilization, ancient Indian civilization and ancient Persian civilization represented by India, Persia, Iraq and Egypt. This collection of folk tales contains nearly 300 stories. The more famous stories include "The Story of the Hunchback", "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp", "The Story of the Fisherman and the Devil", "The Story of Sinbad" and "Alibaba and the Forty Thieves". The story in the book takes place from ancient times to the completion of the book. Both in space and time, it represents the collision and integration of multiple cultures, embodying the characteristics of Arab-Islamic culture that connects the past and the future and connects the east and the west. The characters in the story include gods and elves, princes and nobles, heroes and beauties, as well as monks, craftsmen, fishermen, and farmers. Many stories not only describe the suffering of the people, but also eulogize the poor people's virtues of diligence, bravery, wisdom, kindness, fear of violence, pursuit of happiness, and advocating justice. They also expose and satirize the debauchery, cruelty, and extravagance of the ruling class.
