A country boy gets into the police academy on sheer, unbeatable luck. But he soon discovers that his meager education can’t keep up with his classmates. In every subject, he barely scrapes past the passing grade.
To keep him from dragging down the graduating class, his counselor points him toward a “bright future.” And so our “Big Wei” sets off on a path unlike that of any other police officer.
While his classmates work hard in various roles and rack up one enviable achievement after another, what about our “Wei”? He’s still agonizing over whether to have pork buns or plain pea noodles for lunch, scraping together pocket money by serving tea and water for others.
How will Big Wei’s future turn out? Will he ever get to wear that crisp police uniform again? Will he end up with the policewoman he’s always dreamed of? Can he make his former classmates see him in a new light?
Join us as we follow Big Wei’s career in the police force and discover the winding, bumpy, yet legendary road he takes.
