Supernatural style, modern alternate setting, many original elements. This story is entirely fictional (though I did spend quite a while thinking it over).
In a nutshell: Fortune and misfortune go hand in hand; everyone has their own fate.
In this Age of Declining Magic, even the occult families that have been passed down for centuries face dwindling numbers and a lack of successors.
The Tao family has a magical artifact called “Chaoyao.” Every two hundred years, it needs to find a new Host and merge with her body to sleep for three years. It cannot be removed during that time.
The Host must be a woman with spiritual awareness, and her constitution is known as a “Cloud Spirit Body.”
But in this age of science, there is no longer any place for talk of ghosts and gods.
At the Tao family’s latest “Spirit-Hiding Ceremony,” the chosen Host turned out to be unable to bear Chaoyao alone. It split into four parts, three of which flew away to find Hosts on their own.
As a result, Shi Ye, an older office drone, was inexplicably dragged into this farcical accident and saw a bizarre, extraordinary world she was never meant to see.
It did not change her fate. It was simply a rather interesting experience in her life, nothing more.
(All the settings in this story are fictional flights of fancy, not real, and are for entertainment only.)
Emmm, what can I say? It's very interesting. I can't find fault with it. I hope more people will read this book after I've gained some weight. ❤️
The subject matter is very novel and interesting. I recommend everyone to read it.
Woohoo, why is there no follow-up? . .
