A continuation of the plot of My Journey to You. I love the plot and characters so much. I've completely fallen for Shangguan Qian and Gong Shangjue. They may not be right for each other, but their story can't just end like that. I can't accept the drama's abrupt, half-finished ending. It's obvious the story isn't over. Qianqian shouldn't be watering flowers alone in a courtyard, Gong Er shouldn't be reminiscing about Shangguan Qian by the ink pool, and what about that child whose existence he isn't even sure of? I want to write a continuation for them in a parallel world and spend more time with them. I hope they can have a proper ending. They can have a tragic ending or a happy one, but it can't be left open. I've been agonizing over it for too long.
I've decided to give the story of Ye Se Shang Qian, and even everyone in My Journey to You, a sequel from my perspective. In my version, Shangguan Qian might not end up with Gong Shangjue. They both need someone who loves them wholeheartedly. In Gong Shangjue's eyes, the Gong family comes before everything else. His actions don't make him worthy of Shangguan Qian. From the moment they started using her, he completely disregarded her life and safety. They loved each other, but they missed their chance.
Shangguan Qian doesn't need to look back. Just boldly move forward, Qianqian. You can shine on your own. In the future, someone will come along who has eyes only for you. I used to ship them too, but the last few episodes were nothing but heartbreak. Even their memories were full of lies.
Honestly, I'm still torn over how their story should end. I'll follow the plot and see where it goes.
