When the Fallen Gods Return: The Battle of the Bright Hunters

Mao Yuxi, an utterly ordinary high school student, touches upon his past and present lives during a school outing, changing the course of his fate forever. Perhaps it was destiny, or perhaps just coincidence. Soon afterward, a sudden car accident separates Mao Yuxi from his family, leaving him to set out alone on a journey to save the world and find himself. The farther he travels, the more secrets he uncovers about himself. It is as if he is living someone else’s life and carrying out that person’s mission. Though he is lost now, things are gradually becoming clearer.

During his time wandering alone, Mao Yuxi inadvertently learns of the World Guardians and the Bright Hunters. He is then drawn into a war to defend humanity, joining forces with the World Guardians to fight the Bright Hunters. Later, he spots a star drawing closer, and finds himself battling extraterrestrial life forms to defend Earth. He learns the truth about the world and the things hidden in his subconscious. After uncovering the greatest secret behind his inner turmoil, he discovers that the complete darkening of the Cosmic Divine Realm has caused the genes of some life forms to mutate. A new kind of humanity is born: the “Anomalous,” and Mao Yuxi learns his true identity. Guided by someone said to be his “daughter,” he eventually resolves the Anomalous crisis, regains his true form, and returns to the Divine Realm. The story is divided into four parts: The War Against the Bright Hunters, Alien Bloodshed, The Rise of the Anomalous, and The Legend of the Cosmic Divine Realm. As the story progresses, it shifts from high technology toward fantasy and mythology. These four parts will be published as four books, and the story is extensive. It is still only in its first part.
