No angst, a little comedy, an underdog comeback, and a one-on-one romance.
A top-tier star who's successful in three fields x a brand-new, rookie assistant who goes crazy wherever she is. No real-life inspiration, and the female lead will make a comeback (at least, I think it's a comeback).
Hello, everyone. I'm your late-night radio host, so-and-so. Today, we're going to read an anonymous submission titled “The Perfectly Ordinary Nepotism Hire.”
The author says this story is based on her real-life experience, but asks everyone not to make wild guesses.
“For the first 24 years of her life, the nepotism hire was perfectly ordinary. In the 60-year life she'd pessimistically assigned herself, she still had 35 years left to keep being perfectly ordinary.
But one stormy night, she received a message from the universe... uh, God!
The Lord said, ‘Let there be light in your life,’ and gave her a 1,000-lumen flashlight so she wouldn't stumble into a pit while searching for the light.
The nepotism hire had a relative who was anything but ordinary. The relative was high and mighty, while she struggled up the stairs, barely clinging to life by the time she reached his door.
The relative said, ‘I've got two jobs here. One pays 6,800 a month, with weekends off and a nine-to-six schedule. The other pays 30,000 a month, requires you to be on call 24 hours a day, and has no set days off.’
The nepotism hire was still dithering, not yet able to say she wanted the first job, when her relative gave her a job that paid 6,800 a month but required her to be on call 24 hours a day with no set days off, then kicked her down the stairs.
Given that the ground is 3 km below the relative's doorway and the nepotism hire weighs 49 kg, calculate the time T and speed at which she will hit the ground in free fall.”
I think each character has a distinct personality, and I like their character settings very much.
The heroine is very interesting, thank you so much, the writing is great
