In the primordial era, Pangu had just opened the primordial universe. It was a primitive world, and the process of creation was still unfinished. Yet powerful beings already walked the Earth: innate gods, mighty immortals spawned by heaven and earth, reincarnations of older gods and demons, beings born in fury and filled with eternal hunger, and native creatures who were weak and helpless by nature. In this era, legendary figures like the Three Pure Ones, the Jade Emperor, and Sun Wukong did not yet exist.
It was in this era that a sea god appeared. An impossibility that should never have come to pass. A being fundamentally incomplete in mind, body, and spirit. A failure by the standards of survival. And yet, one of the inhabitants of this ancient world.
