I’m the Great Song’s True Heir, and Li Qingzhao Is My Fan

[A slightly slow start + a touch of fiery passion + Northern Song + common folk life + Emperor Huizong of Song + Li Qingzhao + Water Margin crossover + saving the dynasty from collapse +++]

In the late Northern Song, on the eve of the coming humiliation of Jingkang, Bianjing is still filled with singing and dancing.

No one has the slightest idea that danger is on its way.

Zhao Ji, Emperor Huizong of Song, continues to indulge in wine and women, build Genyue, construct Taoist temples, and dote on treacherous ministers.

He even risks the dignity of an emperor to sneak out at night and visit Li Shishi, the famous courtesan at Fanlou, the most prestigious of the city's twenty-four major taverns.

The country is on the brink of ruin, yet its people revel in pleasure. The songstress knows nothing of the nation's coming doom. How tragic!

Yet some people of vision form societies, kill corrupt officials, quell internal unrest, and repel foreign threats.

Just then, Xu Qing transmigrates into this era. He grows up amid confusion, is tempered by entanglements with women, and gradually uncovers the mystery of his own origins. Before he knows it, he has taken on a heavy responsibility.

The wheels of fate begin to turn, quietly.
