Rules of the Strange: A Survival Game

(No harem, no invincible protagonist, no formulaic tropes, no mindless behavior. A slow start that builds to a high point, with four personalities living together in harmony.)

A letter from Lin Yin to Lin Yin:

I am Lin Yin. If you are reading this letter, it means I am about to die. I wrote it to you using a time slip.

At first, I thought this was just another ordinary overtime shift. That was until I boarded that eerie No. 444 bus.

I was taken to one bizarre world after another. In these worlds, we have to use the rules and clues to uncover the truth behind each haunting, identify the killer hidden among the participants, and use the rules to kill them. Otherwise, the killer will kill us.

There is no escape. Anyone who has taken part in a haunting must arrive at the bus stop at exactly midnight on the 15th of every month. Otherwise, you will be forcibly dragged into a haunting.

Lin Yin, if you are reading this letter and have not yet boarded that bus, then please don’t get on! Don’t get on! Don’t get on!

If you’ve already boarded, then survive! Survive! Survive!
