[Sweet romance + a little angst + both leads are each other's one and only + happy ending]
[A hopeless, stingy, scatterbrained assistant x a foxlike CEO who's aloof in public and shameless in private]
Nan Xi delivers a contract to the room of Ye Che, the drugged CEO of the Ye Group. Afterward, she says, “You’re mean, foul-mouthed, and terrible in bed,” just as Mr. Ye happens to walk by and hear her.
To live up to that compliment, he puts his drunken arm around Nan Xi, pries for information, and puts her to the test.
“I’m the CEO of the mighty Ye Group. Don’t you think you should take responsibility?”
“I’m broke. I don’t have any money.”
“I’ll accept an IOU.”
A hundred thousand for a promise, and a trap disguised as a game of pursuit and responsibility.
A reporter catches Mr. Ye returning to his villa with a gorgeous woman in his arms, exposing him as a womanizer.
“The stock’s down, the company’s in trouble, and I’m about to lose my job. You have to take responsibility.”
“How?”
“Make it legal!”
Then one day, Nan Xi runs off with the money and disappears without a trace.
Ye Che goes mad trying to track her down. When he finally catches her, he realizes that what seemed to fall into place so naturally was all part of a long-planned scheme.
