Plum Blossoms by the Immortal Mountain’s Spirit Spring

A mountain need not be high to be famous if it has an immortal; a river need not be deep to be sacred if it has a dragon. By a twist of fate, Lu Chen, born in Banpo Village, obtains a dragon pearl that lets him travel to the Immortal Realm. As he leads his fellow villagers to prosperity, he studies under Patriarch Bodhi and learns supreme divine powers. After competing in a cosmic martial arts tournament, he refines the Investiture of the Gods, appoints the deities, and rebuilds the Celestial Court. “Come take a look, bosses! Today, the Immortal Goods Fair recommends Banpo Village’s peaches of immortality. Limit one per person, 999 yuan each, only 1,000 in stock. What, you want to spend ten million on thousand-year-old ginseng? We’re not selling that today.” “What are we selling next week? Haven’t decided yet. Maybe immortal wine, maybe immortal tea.” A little-known history of the Journey to the West, an Investiture of the Gods, a Flat Peach Banquet, and the uproarious tale of a monkey causing havoc in the Celestial Court… All told in leisurely fashion.
