During the 31 years of studying and working in Japan, the author had the opportunity to get in touch with the three-dimensional Japanese society and Japanese people of all walks of life, from the prime minister to the common people, and found that the way Japanese people do things and think is different from foreigners. This "difference" is reflected in many aspects such as time concepts, ambiguous culture, sense of partnership, and hospitality. And precisely because of these differences, it is difficult for many people to understand Japanese habits and rules. "Japanese Character" explains the connotation of the Japanese's thinking and code of conduct of restraint, conformity, loyalty, caution, and not causing trouble to others through stories. It hopes to allow readers to better understand the Japanese way of doing things, understand Japanese customs, and know how to deal well with Japanese people and Japanese society.
