She was once a noble daughter, but became caught up in a case of mistaken identity and was driven from her home. When she returns, she is a disciple of a renowned master, connected to the six great academies, and ready to scheme at every turn to take revenge and reclaim everything that was hers. She manipulates Shen Yunhe, drawing him into her schemes to test him. He willingly walks right into her trap. What Wei Shengci doesn’t know is why Shen Yunhe is so willing to play along. After repeated tests and an outing together, they are trapped in a small village by a heavy snowfall. As she slowly gets to know Shen Yunhe, she finally discovers that he has always loved her deeply. He says, “Let me be your blade. Your hands shouldn’t have to kill. Leave it to me.” Wei Shengci goes from fear to acceptance. She has to avenge her father and senior disciple, and take on the emperor. To do so, she must become a pawn that kills on this chessboard. One seeks revenge for their parents, the other for their senior disciple and father. Fate brings them together, and they support each other. “I’m not afraid of losing anyone, but I’m afraid of losing my A Yue!” “If he dies, there will never be anyone in the world who loves me more. My life would have no meaning anymore.” Their interests brought them together, but they trust each other completely and choose to walk through life together, bound by love.
