Ning Ning is a little demon. After stirring up trouble in the immortal realms and the mortal world alike, she vanishes without a trace.
The Demon-Suppressing Pagoda in Kunlun is empty, and she cannot be found on Penglai’s Greenfield Island. True Immortal Wuxian turns the cultivation world upside down searching for her, yet cannot find even a trace of her scent.
Zhang Lanting, the Wuxian True Immortal, emerged as a dazzling prodigy in his youth. He entered Wangtian Sect, the greatest sect in the cultivation world, as a child, and in less than a century defeated all the sect’s senior uncles and grandmasters, becoming its leader and the foremost figure in the cultivation world.
Yet this man, who had the best chance of ascending to immortality in a century, nearly succumbed to demonic cultivation after Ning Ning disappeared. Though he narrowly escaped disaster at the critical moment, his cultivation reached its limit. For more than a decade, he made no progress at all. He even resigned as leader of Wangtian Sect and shut himself away beneath the sect’s rear mountain, at the Cliff of Reflection, where he remained for over a decade without ever leaving.
I rather like the setting of this book, but I don't really like the time-traveling and time-traveling books. The author is also writing carefully and has worked hard on the writing style, but there is a serious flaw, that is, the plot is too bland. The text seems to be displeased with mountains. After reading the first part, my desire to continue reading is not that high. The plot is too flat, and some conflicts and reversals are too weak. This is one of them. Secondly, even if it is just the first big segment, there should not be too few characters, as few as only two people. The characters do not have to be human beings, they can also be some spiritual beasts encountered by chance, or plants that have developed intelligence. Fortunately, when Ning Ning feels lonely, it can lead to the subsequent plot, not just the interaction between the two protagonists. However, there are also advantages. First, the writing method is similar to that of a TV series, and it has a very visual feel. It is difficult for novels with many narrations and few dialogues to achieve this. The second is the portrayal of characters' personalities and hobbies. Although this seems to be a relatively common technique, there are still many authors who only depict the character but ignore the description of hobbies (I have always been like this, it's hard to change, I'm worried~). Finally, there are some other comments, which are not considered advantages or disadvantages. It's not that there are no titles like Author, it's just rare. But the title plays a big role. Some authors write titles that are a general summary of the chapter, while others use a single sentence from the chapter as the title. The function of the title is to let readers know what the chapter is about. No matter which of the above statements is used, it at least has a hint of the plot. The title is well written and combined with the ups and downs of the plot, the effect is excellent. Of course, this title belongs to the author's own style, and there is no need to follow the public. Just have your own ideas. Although the author's level is difficult to compare with those of the big guys, if he can persist in finishing the book, he will definitely gain a lot. I wish the book a great success!
