#HeartsOfFire# Cool, aloof firefighter x world-weary doctor
During an explosion at a chemical plant, Lu Chen, the city fire department’s captain, rescued Ruan Tang, a doctor frozen in the heart of the fire. Their meeting, watched by the whole internet, tore open the wounds they had tried so hard to hide: he carried the pocket watch his father had with him when he died in the line of duty, while the anti-anxiety fruit candies in her pocket always melted at fire scenes.
When Ruan Tang discovers the occupational illness affecting the entire fire crew, and Lu Chen catches her trembling over a burning lab report, clues to the explosion that took his father’s life three years ago begin to surface. A medical cover-up intertwines with a string of arson attacks, and every fire breaks out with uncanny precision on the nights Ruan Tang is on duty...
From pushing each other away to standing together between life and death, they must learn this: a firefighter’s duty is to get everyone out of the fire, but love means letting someone stay for you.
