After being harmed by a treacherous villain, Ling Mi falls from the Immortal Realm into the human world. Not only has she lost her memory, but a mortal has also taken her in.
The mortal is in poor health. Between the two of them, they can't scrape together enough to keep one person alive, so they're forced to help each other and struggle on together.
Then, just when things couldn't get worse, their already poor home burns down, forcing them to set out on a quest to collect debts.
They fight their way across the land and happen to save the world along the way.
Later, Ling Mi regains her memories and confesses to Mo Sang: "Actually, I'm the only Sacred Herb in the Four Realms."
Mo Sang smiles faintly. "What a coincidence. I'm the only Golden Dragon in the Four Realms too."
