A Quiet Summer

Because the female lead is often sick and frail, her busy parents send her to live with her grandparents. While out exploring with his friends, the male lead meets her, and they spend a carefree summer together. Beside a hibiscus tree, they promise to be friends forever and agree to meet again the following summer. But the male lead's parents leave on a work trip, and he becomes withdrawn. The female lead has nearly recovered from her illness, but for the sake of their promise, she persuades her parents to let her spend another summer there. Because the male lead is so withdrawn, she waits all summer, but the person she is waiting for never comes. The female lead transfers schools. When they meet again, the male lead has become a gloomy, introverted boy who has completely forgotten their promise from that summer and their sincere friendship. One day, on his way to school, he runs into the female lead, who has transferred back. And so the story begins.
