Back to Ancient Times as the Demon King

[Mortal cultivation + monster cultivation + no cheat powers + traditional cultivation + third-person narration + killing for treasures and recruiting followers + a grand world inspired more by Jin Yong and Journey to the West]

Lu Zhao was lying down playing a game when, to his surprise, a certain object burst through the void. The magical power spilling from it tore his soul apart.

When he woke again, Lu Zhao had become a wandering soul residing inside a spider.

To escape the spider’s body and regain human form, Lu Zhao had no choice but to begin cultivating in the Hundred Thousand Mountains, where monsters and demons gathered in droves.

(This story focuses on building a cave dwelling and gathering monster generals as companions. The protagonist does kill people, but he recruits followers even more often.)
