Yu Hui confesses to her first love, never expecting him to say yes. And so begins their romance at different schools, seven kilometers apart.
Chen Yang doesn’t dislike Yu Hui. He knows she’s a good person. Then she starts acting like his personal tutor, saying they should get into A University together.
He goes through confusion and inner turmoil, and somewhere along the way, his feelings deepen.
Then one day, Yu Hui’s grandmother dies. Everyone condemns Yu Hui, claiming her early relationship caused her grandmother’s death, and she is forced to transfer schools.
Before transferring, Yu Hui doesn’t tell Chen Yang the truth. She asks her childhood friend to break up with him on her behalf, but the friend acts out of selfish motives and doesn’t do it.
Though she believes they have broken up, Yu Hui remains focused on making it to the university they agreed on.
Even after learning the truth, Chen Yang keeps waiting and searching for her, despite their having lost touch.
