The Lure of Jewels: The Prey

Song Xinyuan's new assistant seems exceptionally obedient and is incredibly cute. Whenever Song Xinyuan sees him smile, he is reminded of a docile, well-behaved cat. That night, Song Xinyuan kisses the assistant's eyes. “Kitty, these eyes of yours are my favorite...” The little cat gazes at him adoringly, calling him “sir” in a soft voice. Song Xinyuan thinks his assistant will always be his obedient kitten. Then one day, the cat disappears, and so does the gemstone necklace passed down through Song Xinyuan's family. Song Xinyuan chuckles. “So my little cat isn't a house cat after all. A wildcat... now that's even more interesting!” The butler asks, “Sir, shall we...?” Song Xinyuan replies, “Search. Turn the whole place upside down if you have to, but find him for me...” The jewelry details in this story are entirely made up by the author and make no sense.
