This is the story of seven protagonists, of life and death, partings and reunions, love that goes unreturned, and sorrowful farewells.
Lin Yan was born into an ordinary family. As she grew up, she met a man who inexplicably made her heart race. No matter how many times she looked back, whenever he appeared, her heart would pound. She would spend her whole life searching for him.
Then an accident took her life. A vague, unfamiliar man appeared and told her, “I am your guardian deity. I have protected you for two lifetimes, and in each one, you met an untimely end...”
Lin Yan was devastated. Why hadn’t she recognized him sooner?
“But she was already dead.”
That was why she could see the indistinct man.
She lived through seven lifetimes, all to find the person she had once passed by.
