One Song, Red Performer: From Traditional Chinese Singer to Global Superstar

Feel-good story + transmigration + show business + one heroine

Wu Chen transmigrates to a parallel world.

The company boss's daughter turns out to be a goddess.

He's brought in as a last-minute substitute on a show, so he decides to share an original song.

With “The Brightest Star in the Night Sky,” he bids farewell to the past and starts over.

With “Nunchucks,” he hums and chants his way through the door to traditional Chinese music.

With “The Performer,” his lilting opera vocals set off a craze for traditional Chinese music.

What? His sudden fame draws the attention of all kinds of powers?

A female star hints that she wants him, asks him to write songs, and acts with him in a TV drama.

Male stars envy and resent him, waiting for their chance to knock him off his pedestal.

No matter. He'll take them on!

That year, he stood with his hands in his pockets, set the domestic entertainment industry straight, and swept across the global music scene. He had no idea what it meant to have a rival.
