Just as graduation approached, Tang Li suddenly announced that she was getting married. She had been single since her freshman year, without even a flirtation to speak of, and had worked diligently on her career. At dinner the night before, she’d even declared that she would stay single for life. So the sudden appearance of a marriage partner was truly shocking.
There was only one explanation: it was a fake marriage.
With graduation just around the corner, Tang Li, a self-media influencer with a million followers, had offended a major sponsor at a dinner party and been blacklisted by the industry. She’d lost all her savings and racked up a mountain of debt, but hadn’t told anyone. While everyone else was busy sending out resumes and job hunting, they envied her for having achieved financial freedom early and earned the right to lie flat.
Tang Li had her troubles, but no way to voice them. At the dorm’s farewell dinner that night, she got drunk, vented her feelings, cursed out every man under the sun, and firmly declared that she would never marry.
But after seeing off her thoroughly drunk roommates one by one, Tang Li ended up eating her words.
To save money, she hired a delivery driver to take her home, and somehow wound up with a fake husband.
Tang Li got talkative whenever she drank. By the time the driver arrived, the alcohol had gone to her head. She took one look at how handsome he was, and her urge to confide in someone grew even stronger. Sitting on the back of his electric scooter, she kept talking at him nonstop, then cried and wiped her tears and snot all over his back.
By the time they reached their destination, the wind had sobered her up somewhat. Looking at the badly stained fabric, Tang Li felt terribly sorry and shakily pulled out the last fifty-six yuan she had as compensation. But the man’s words, “Marry me,” startled her so badly that she threw up.
But Tang Li really did agree, because at that moment the man practically sparkled with money: “It’ll be a marriage of convenience. I’ll give you five million.”
Of course I give myself a five⭐️, no matter how bad I am, I still have to encourage myself (go crazy, it really sucks, but I will give myself a five⭐️, mothers always love their children more)
It's a bit confusing to watch. How come the heroine is gone in the end?
Super nice, but the ending is a bit unexpected
The writing is very good. I think the ending should be that the heroine grows old slowly in a quiet and beautiful place, and can bravely pursue what she wants to do.
I thought the male and female protagonists would reunite, but I didn't expect the ending to be be. But I still highly recommend this novel.
The ending is not as expected
