What happens when a brawny man with a little sense, but not much, meets an invincible magic treasure that would rather sleep and slack off…
What happens when yin energy revives across the world, ghosts and monsters descend, and those two show up…
What happens when the Underworld launches a full-scale invasion, only to get dazed by a couple of punches to the head…
Zheng Aobing: “My name is Mad Wolf Aobing. My full title is Daoist Venerable of Heaven and Earth. I’m invincible beneath the Heavenly Dao, and I can trade one for one with it. Gods and Buddhas across the heavens, all living beings in the Six Realms, I’ve got Blue Star covered. Don’t push your luck, or I’ll kick your asses.”
…
Ten Yama Kings: “Lord Zheng, you’re the first person since that monkey to make me address you this way. Please go easy on the little ghosts under my command. They’re still young. If there’s a problem, just say the word.”
Yin Emperor: “What? My big daddy’s here? Hurry, show him in. Huh? He’s already fought his way in? Whatever the reason, bring me the brambles. I’ll go bear them on my back and beg forgiveness.”
Great Emperor of Fengdu: “Boss, we’re all family here. If my son has done wrong, tell me and I’ll hand you a stick. Give him a good thrashing.”
Houtu: “That deadbeat. Why hasn’t he come to see me yet…”
Nuwa: “Big puppy, give me a hug…”
Beyond the Thirty-Sixth Heaven…
Hongjun: “Let’s get all the Sages together for a meeting. How about we build a Houtu Temple and, while we’re at it, a memorial hall for the Ancestral Wu? We can offer incense every day.”
Tongtian: “Sister Nuwa, that old cow is trying to eat young grass again. He’s gone off pretending to be an innocent little girl and acting cute. Boss Hongjun, put Sister Nuwa’s share on my tab. I’ll contribute a million merit points.”
Taishang and Yuanshi: “Let’s cling to our fellow Daoists Nuwa and Houtu. We’ll put in two million.”
Jieyin and Zhunti: “Here’s our one and a half million. Boss, make sure you build it nice and fancy…”
