Reading Her

No matter how time passes or how youth fades, we still have our fire and our capacity to love.

Female lead’s introduction:

In high school, Zhou Ning was a bad student, bad because she was aloof, solitary, socially awkward, and difficult to get along with.

Five years later, Zhou Ning was a bad woman, bad because she acted as she pleased and was so capable that people envied her.

Whether in the past or now, she was always branded “bad.”

Call her stubborn or single-minded, if you like. Once Zhou Ning chose a path, she would follow it to the bitter end, determined to find out what it felt like to run headlong into a wall.

She was never a rose in a flower shop, waiting for just anyone to prune her into shape. She was wild grass growing freely in the wilderness.

Looking back, what kind of love, hatred, and intricate schemes grew tangled beneath the ashes of that forbidden young love...

The female lead isn’t a traditionally good person. She repays grudges and grievances alike, and everything she has been through has made it impossible for her not to be detached.
