The Starry River: The Graceful Lady

“A hundred years of life: choose the right person and take the right path, and you will find great fortune.”

I often wonder which path is truly mine. As a child, I traveled the world with my master. Amid fields of exposed bones and the cries of the bereaved, I embarked on the path of studying medicine. Amid raging famine and roads littered with the dead, I embarked on the path of preventing famine and fighting epidemics...

Only later did I realize that different people walk the same path in different ways, and that none of those ways is right or wrong. Right and wrong, gain and loss, all come down to the choices we make.

Even if the road behind me is mired in mud and the whole world calls it fraught with hardship, I will still sow the seeds of new life along it with my own flesh and blood.

Fortunately, there are people walking beside me. When the flowers bloom and spring fills the world, we can look back together at the road we traveled.

The He family has twin daughters, one of whom is named Jingshu. The original heroine pairs with Ling Buyi, while Cheng Shaoshang pairs with Yuan Shen... The original couples are broken up.

P.S. This is a fanfiction based on Love Like the Galaxy. It’s a brainless indulgence, with severe OOC warnings and amateurish, rambling prose. The pacing is glacial and there’s no logic! No logic!! Best read with your higher brain functions switched off! You have been warned, this may blow your mind!!! Updates are irregular! The identities, plot points, and other details are all things I made up, so please don’t borrow or plagiarize them!
