After transmigrating into a drama as a cannon-fodder supporting actress, bit-part actress Zhao Han resolves to turn things around and become the leading lady.
Her first priority is to cling to the wealthy merchant's adopted son, Gu Yannan, as her ticket to success.
She rescues Gu and his sister when they are hunted down, then personally tends to him while he recovers from serious injuries.
She also plans to put her past-life talent for designing clothes to use by opening a shop with his sister.
In return, he finds a shop, trains staff, and searches for other suppliers for her.
Everything is going smoothly. Gu Yannan takes good care of her.
If she can help him uncover his true origins, she'll be able to do whatever she wants from then on.
But before she can get started, trouble finds her first.
Her eldest sister is determined to marry the son of the great general, who has his eye on Zhao Han. It was bad enough when her sister smeared her by claiming she was having an affair with another man.
Now, at the lotus banquet hosted by the general's wife, she's set a trap to ruin Zhao Han...
