Synopsis

A roll call of emperors and ministers throughout history.

The story opens with a roll call of the ten greatest emperors. Qin Shi Huang says, “I ascended the throne as a youth, swept across the Six Kingdoms and unified China. I standardized the written language and axle widths, built the Great Wall, and kept the Xiongnu from invading the south. Surely I belong among these ten emperors.”

Zhu Yuanzhang: “I started out with nothing but a bowl and won this vast empire. My Great Ming will last for thousands of generations. The greatest emperor of all time has to be me.”

Li Shimin: “I ended the chaos left by the Sui dynasty and let the people live in peace and prosperity. My civil and military achievements are second to none. I must be among these ten emperors.”

Scenes from history unfold before the eyes of the emperors.

Looking for Novels That Review Zhu Di's Achievements and Always Have Him Ascend the Throne

It has to be a historical retrospective. And don't recommend me novels where Zhu Biao's death is the only reason Zhu Di takes the throne, only for Zhu Biao to inherit it in the end. Lately, it's always Zhu Biao who succeeds to the throne. How can Zhu Di's achievements as the Yongle Emperor possibly be outdone by Zhu Biao's?
