Doing Charity, Starting with Making Assassin’s Creed

Inside the Huaxia TV studio, a female host interviews a young man:

“Mr. Yu Quan, there’s something I and the viewers at home have always wanted to ask you.”

“Go ahead. I’ll answer if I can.”

The young man’s voice is cold, as if he were indifferent to everyone around him, yet the host can’t bring herself to dislike him.

“Unlike other businesspeople, you don’t put all your earnings back into business. Instead, you consistently donate most of the profits from each game to charity, giving the rest to your employees. You keep very little for yourself.”

“Your actions leave many of your peers baffled. They think you aren’t making the most of your wealth.”

“To be honest, even I don’t know what to do with the money.”

“I know nothing about business, and I feel for all the people who are suffering.”

“Just think of me as a fool. I think I’m a fool myself. I can’t stand seeing people suffer, and I can’t just sit back and do nothing.”

“Mr. Yu Quan, that’s why everyone likes you so much.”
