[Not a power fantasy + lighthearted comedy + unlimited shields + Nine Provinces, Immortals and Martial Arts + airheaded protagonist + not a power fantasy]
Once upon a time, there was a mountain. On the mountain stood a tower, and in the tower lived an immortal who wielded a shield!
Immortals in this world could emerge like dragons from the clouds, cleave through the mortal realm with their swords, and laugh as they opened the gates of heaven… But that immortal knew only one thing: how to shield!
“I have a shield that can block mountains, hold back seas, cross heavenly hazards and seas of flame, suppress demons and evil spirits, ward off the tribulations of the nine heavens, and withstand anything in the world!”
“Had I, the Shield Immortal, not been born, the path of the shield would have languished in darkness for all eternity!”
…
Many years later, young cultivators gazed at the pure land beneath their feet, puzzled.
“Master, why is the outside world always at war, yet no one ever comes to bother us?”
“That story begins with a shield.”
“…”
I feel pretty much the same
Not bad, I can see that the author wants to strengthen the protagonist, but it's a pity that the protagonist's mentality is not good and too simple.
Well written and promising
It's okay. I remembered one I saw before. It was similar to this one, but it was different. It could only practice defensive skills, but overall it was pretty good.
