Setting: The story takes place in the future, decades after Sun Wukong and the other three scripture-seeking travelers journeyed through the Three Realms. To preserve the balance of the Three Realms, its elders decide to send a new generation of young disciples to continue traveling west in search of sacred scriptures. This new group faces fresh challenges and adventures.
