Gao Xing initially only wanted to use Jing Chen, but after spending time with him, he gradually fell for him. Jing Chen, however, never returned his feelings.
Gao Xing: “Jing Chen, if I weren’t who I am, could you have fallen in love with me?”
Jing Chen: “But there are no ‘what ifs.’ I can’t answer that.”
