I read in the newspaper that survival at sea has become a collective activity on the island. A group of people are together and they also buy feelings. Chinese blah blah, Chinese blah blah. The protagonist is like a nanny who has to protect a bunch of people.
Everything else is good, but sometimes the characters are a bit "pretentious" and seem rather disconnected.
The "hypocrisy" here means that every little thing must be explained and explained clearly, and the modifiers used are "hurry" and "sorry", which are both redundant and abrupt.
