As I lay in the hospital room, a mushroom cloud rose somewhere in the world. This was the tenth time since joining the Marines that I was in the hospital. Since the Nazi swastika flag and the Japanese sun flag were intertwined, my comrades and myself have experienced a catastrophe together with the world - the whole world has experienced six years of suffering like a huge organism, and now a mushroom cloud is rising on the earth.
In December 1941, the Pearl Harbor attack broke out, and 21-year-old sports reporter Leckie enlisted in the Marine Corps. Beginning with recruit training on Parris Island in South Carolina, Leckie experienced the most brutal battles in the Pacific War, the Battle of Guadalcanal, the Battle of New Britain, and the Battle of Peleliu, going through hardships and narrow escapes.
The horror and cruelty of the war profoundly affected Lekki. After being injured and retired from the military, Leckie decided to truly restore the Pacific War from the perspective of an eyewitness. Then he wrote "The Bloody Battle on Guadalcanal in the Pacific".

The Battle of the Pacific is one of the must-read novels that I recommend to graduate students in social psychology, and its film and television works are also worth watching. War not only affects human processes, but also brings huge impacts and changes to local social and cultural development. A good book worth recommending to everyone.
Is he the protagonist in the first few episodes of the American drama Pacific War?
Unpretentious words create a group of ordinary warriors
When the nuclear bomb symbolizes destruction, it represents the coming of peace.
Leckie objectively and truly shows the life, combat and post-war mental outlook of Marines.
