[Love] [Love] [Love] The story begins, in the picturesque Swiss Alps, ten tourists witnessed a shocking event, which was like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, causing ripples. At the same time, at Fort Meade in Maryland, the United States, the "Operation Doomsday" plan was quietly launched. Naval intelligence officer Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bellamy is temporarily recruited by the National Security Agency to track down the ten witnesses and prevent them from revealing the secrets of what they saw. However, in the process of carrying out this almost impossible task, Bellamy found himself trapped in a huge whirlpool, hunted by a powerful and evil force. As the plot progresses, readers will follow Bellamy's footsteps, uncovering the shocking secrets behind "Operation Doomsday" step by step, and feel the tense atmosphere of conspiracy and danger. [Cool][Cool][Cool] This novel is not just a science fiction adventure story, it also triggers profound thinking about human nature, power and morality. Different people show different faces of humanity when faced with a possible apocalyptic crisis. Some people try to control the situation by any means necessary for power and benefit; while others stick to justice and conscience and sacrifice themselves to protect others and the truth. This made me reflect, in real life, if we were faced with a similar choice, what choice would we make? This novel is not only a feast of reading, but also an in-depth exploration of human nature and the world, which is endlessly memorable.
Sidney Sheldon is one of my favorite writers. Except for the latest edition, I have collected all his works. Some of them have even been opened. The plot of the novel is repetitive, the rhythm is tight, and it is thrilling. It is worth reading again and again [Like] [Like] [Like]
I particularly like the protagonist in the book, Lieutenant Colonel Bellamy, who is brave, smart, and has been working hard to find out the truth. And the man behind that evil force is really annoying! However, the plots and scene descriptions in the book are so vivid that I felt like I was there. All in all, this is a book that is addictive to read and highly recommended!
It's catchy right from the start. The more I watch, the more I can't stop. The plot is compact, intricate and connected. Amazing Robert! Just and brave, witty and tenacious. Worth having!
The plot is reasonable and the structure is compact.
Reasonable reasoning and rigorous logic [Like] [Like]
It turns out this is science fiction. When did this happen? Only after looking here did we know that Kyiv belongs to Russia. Robert was the one who asked for his life.
A friend lent me this book when I was young, but I couldn't find it later. When I read it now, I feel a bit of emotion from the past in it.
A very classic science fiction novel, suitable for reading in one sitting
