Alexey has made a living by stealing since he was a child. He relied on his cleverness to make a living, but one day his good luck finally ran out. In 1936, sixteen-year-old Alexei was arrested by the NKVD police and sent to Moscow. In the mysterious building of the State Security Service of the NKVD, in addition to being tortured and dying in prison for the rest of his life, he also got another opportunity: to join the State Security Service, become a Soviet spy, receive special training, and break into Nazi Germany when the time came.
After the training, the wife and only son of Hans Schulz, a senior official of the German Foreign Ministry, died in a car accident.
