I feel that not many people have read this book. It is really a great work. The ending is deeply regrettable. Is Cosette really unworthy of such happiness? She completely forgot who saved her from the turbulent life before she was eight years old. And who has always taken good care of her. She has a quality of life like a young lady. With Marius, it is easy to forget Jean Valjean. Even the police detective was influenced. Without Jean Valjean, she would have died tragically.
