Freaky Thursday: Infinite Loop

I’m trapped here, trapped in this day, endlessly reliving the same day with its limited hours.

I don’t know what this loop is for. Who am I supposed to save? I’m no protagonist.

Once, twice, three times, five, six, seven, eight, nine… I was trapped in this day. Gradually, I realized I didn’t have to take responsibility for what I did that day. There were no consequences to worry about. Was I supposed to fight back against those people? They were cold, selfish, arrogant, and conceited. They thought I wouldn’t dare speak up, so they could bully me as they pleased. They looked down on me and joined forces to isolate me. The countless loops gave me courage. I found myself again and exposed who they really were.

But time kept looping. The endless repetition drove me mad. I could no longer bear anything happening the same way again. It was breaking me.

Later, I started searching for my own freedom. That’s when I met him. He seemed familiar, but I couldn’t remember him. He was on the same wavelength as me. We both longed for freedom.

I couldn’t notice the changes in this world. Everything had become so unreasonable, yet all I could do was wait for the day to end.

Only at the very end did I realize that anyone can be the protagonist of their own story, and the person I needed to save was myself.
