He Spoils Me Gently

After transferring schools, Su Jianqi meets Shen Yangui again, his childhood sweetheart, and becomes her next-door neighbor. They are sixteen or seventeen that year. It is not a summer full of alarm and dread, but one of soft, drifting snow. The boy is still as radiant as the sun, impossible to forget. To Shen Yangui, Su Jianqi is the most important lead in her life. To Su Jianqi, Shen Yangui is his light. As Shen Yangui watches from across the way, she sees a girl being nudged forward by her friends to go talk to him. Two meters away, she can’t make out what they’re saying. She only sees Su Jianqi furrow his brows, lift his head with a stern expression, and meet her gaze. Without a moment’s hesitation, Su Jianqi follows her gaze and slowly walks over. He takes her hand and draws her to his side. “She has a temper. She’ll be upset.” She is the one and only reason he turns everyone else down.
