Captive Heart, Cherished Love

After the Crown Prince of the Lan Dynasty met Wei Wuxian on the battlefield, he became deeply interested in him. The two were evenly matched, and Lan Wangji felt a kindred admiration for Wei Wuxian. Then, by chance, Lan Wangji witnessed Wei Wuxian’s differentiation, and his heart suddenly tightened. Was he a Qian Yuan or a Kun Ze? When Lan Wangji defeated the Wen Dynasty, all the other small kingdoms bowed in submission and paid tribute every year. Lan Wangji never even glanced at the tribute from the other nations. Instead, he sent a personal letter to the ruler of Wei, summoning the kingdom’s fifth prince, Wei Ying, also known as Wei Wuxian, to the Lan Dynasty…

The ruler of Wei had plenty of children. It was only his fifth prince, after all, so he happily sent him to the Lan Dynasty…

On the road, Wei Ying wondered if the Crown Prince of Lan, Lan Wangji, had summoned him because they had fought on the battlefield and he was planning revenge. Wei Wuxian blinked. Whatever. He’d deal with whatever came his way! At worst, he could escape and be free!

But Wei Wuxian never expected that the moment he arrived, his freedom would disappear. Revenge, you ask… If overwhelming affection counts, then yes, he certainly got his revenge. Wei Wuxian was always rubbing his lower back. Did that count as a kind of revenge?
