After Running Away from the Wedding, the Ghost King’s Bride Descends to the Mortal Realm to Face Her Trials

A love trial from a thousand years ago, the three souls enduring tribulations in this life, the wickedness of human hearts, and the cruel indifference of the world: in the end, she still stays true to her original purpose.

Her soul is reforged, and she is reborn.

The first trial: the Heavenly Soul. (Tianming died at birth and entered the Underworld. The Ghost King infused her body with the soul of a flood dragon, transformed from the river spirit of the River of Forgetfulness. The side effect was a snake-like skin disease. The flood dragon's soul was used to replenish the Heavenly Soul.)

The second trial: the Earthly Soul. (Buried beneath the earth, she died in a car accident. Metal overcomes wood. She entered the Underworld, where the Ghost King helped revive her. The side effect was the loss of emotion. The Earthly Soul was replenished with the heroine's heart's-blood and the heart of a Forget-Worry Lotus from the Underworld.)

The third trial: the Human Soul. (After being betrayed, she saw through the ways of the world and was killed. She entered the Underworld, where the Ghost King placed her soul into the body of the person she had seen in the Three Lives Stone, her past life's body, and brought her back to life. Her snake-like skin disease disappeared, and she regained her feelings.)

Once the Heavenly, Earthly, and Human Souls have been reforged and harmony has been achieved between heaven, earth, and humanity, her reborn body can contain all things.

After arriving in the Underworld and being reborn, she experiences three more journeys back through her dreams. The heroine regains her memories of her past life and goes to live with the Ghost King.
