The protagonist, Song Linfeng, has multiple love interests, but there’s no harem. The story has a wild imagination, mystery and political intrigue, and plenty of foreshadowing and hidden details that will be revealed over time.

“If there’s another life, I swear I won’t let you down.” Song Linfeng knelt on the ground and whispered to the girl in his arms. A tear ran down his cheek and fell onto the corner of her bloodstained lips. She was gravely wounded, her breathing faint, yet a small, contented smile lingered on her face.

“Song Linfeng, you fiend! I’ll kill you!” someone shouted from the densely packed crowd.

Song Linfeng ignored the voice. Despairingly, he stared at Lan Shuiqing, who had her sword pointed at him, as if trying to see through her.

“If there’s another life, I swear I won’t let you down either.” He looked at Lan Shuiqing’s angry face and smiled as he spoke.

With that, he set down the woman in his arms, leapt into the air, and vanished into the layered sea of clouds...

Perhaps, like everyone else, Lan Shuiqing was one of the people who had driven Song Linfeng to despair.

So who is the protagonist’s one true love? The two women above, or a hidden character?
