Duped into Northern Myanmar: The Unvarnished Truth

Seeing so many people discussing northern Myanmar online lately, I can't help thinking back to those days, having lived through it all myself. It was like hell on earth. So I thought I'd share my story as a cautionary tale, and warn those who come after me: do not, under any circumstances, go to northern Myanmar lightly. Not if you don't want the rest of your life to be stained by something you can never wash away. This is the only advice I can give you.
